:an approach to life based on reason and our common humanity, recognizing that moral values are properly founded on human nature and experience alone.
The movements of Black Lives Matter, Chibok Bring Back Our Girls, and Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo could be called humanist movements rather than social movements. In each of these movements a group was/is treated as if they were less than human and in some cases like an object.
