SustainABILITY
A zine that explains the necessity of non-sustainable disability aids to able bodied sustainability advocates.
Problem Space
Disabled individuals are excluded from important sustainability conversations and advocacy because able-bodied advocates do not understand the necessity of non-sustainable disability aids in everyday life.
Objective
Design a fast paced zine that, through bold visuals and limited text, shares information compiled from the experiences and thoughts of various disabled individuals.
Where it Started
Personae and Empathy Maps
Personae and related empathy maps were created to gain a better understanding of the intended audience. Primary research, conducted through card sorting, surveys, and interviews, was consolidated into these two personae.
*Any quotes used were obtained with permission from individuals who participated in surveys and/or interviews.

Moodboards
The moodboards for this project were created with fairly limited constraints, intended to force me to put more intention and thought behind my work.
The first moodboard was created using only magazine clippings. This was created fairly early in the project and as such the moodboard is focused on the broad topic of disability and sustainability.
The second moodboard was created using pinterest, but I was not allowed to search any specific terms, only click from image to image. This moodboard allowed me to get more specific to my final topic, selecting coloring and font.
